Anticipation is building as the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) prepares to unveil its game-changing Single Digital Portal (SDP) on March 12th.
This innovative web-based platform, developed with the support of the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and TradeMark Africa (TMA) Malawi Country Programme, is poised to transform the way MCCCI members, tenants, traders, investors, and the general public interact with MCCCI services.
“The launch of the Single Digital Portal represents a transformative step in our efforts to enhance service delivery and foster greater engagement with our stakeholders,” stated MCCCI Chief Executive Officer Daisy Kambalame.
The SDP integrates membership details, trade data, tenant information, and a host of other services, providing streamlined access and significantly improving efficiency.
“Our members and the wider business community can now access our services at their convenience, from anywhere in the world,” emphasized Kambalame.
By automating essential processes such as membership application and renewal, event participation application, property application, marketplace functionalities, and the issuance of Certificates of Origin for various export destinations, the SDP eliminates the need for in-person visits to MCCCI’s offices, saving both time and costs.
To ensure a smooth transition to the new platform, MCCCI last week organized training workshops aimed at individuals responsible for managing their company’s relationship with MCCCI and officials handling exports that require Certificates of Origin, event registrations, membership renewals, and business forums.
MCCCI is committed to ensuring that its members and stakeholders are well-equipped to navigate and utilize the new platform effectively.
